Demo production FAQ

Quick answers.

How long should a voiceover demo be?

Around one minute, with six to eight short spots. Your natural, bookable voice should be unmistakable in the first two tracks before broader attitudes appear - ten disparate character voices confuse listeners rather than impress them.

Should I get a demo before I start training?

No - this is the most damaging mistake new talent make. If a polished demo gets you into an agency, you will be asked to recreate that performance live on cold copy. Train first, then produce the demo your technique can back up. Read why →
