FAQ

Straight answers, first take.

The questions Jeff answers in almost every first conversation - answered here so yours can start further along.

Do I need experience to start coaching?

No. Sessions are built for beginners and working voice actors alike. Jeff has taken first-time students to signed agency talent - one signed with an agency months after starting - and coaches established pros through changing industry styles. What matters is that you put in the time.

What does a coaching session look like?

Private coaching runs a focused hour around a curated packet of scripts you'll study, perform, and refine - with detailed feedback, performance direction, and acting adjustments that build repeatable habits. Need something faster? 30-minute audition coaching works directly on your audition script.

Can I work with Jeff remotely?

Yes. In-studio in Los Angeles, or online from anywhere in the world. Talent studies with Jeff from both coasts and several continents.

What kinds of demos does Jeff produce?

Commercial, narration, and promo/trailer demos. Every reel includes custom script selection matched to your voice and market, a directed recording session, industry-standard mix and master with tailored music and sound design, and delivery in every format you'll need. Hear recent demos →

Is Jeff still an active casting director?

Yes - this is the difference. Jeff has cast 28 Netflix and HBO Max titles since 2018 and continues to cast series, features, and dubbing projects today, on top of hundreds of national commercials across his career. When he coaches, you're training with the person who decides. See the filmography →

Can Jeff review an audition before I submit it?

Yes. Director's Notes is an async review: email your audition MP3 and the script, and Jeff sends back written direction notes in time for your deadline - the same ears that screen auditions professionally, on yours before it counts. Send an audition →

Does Jeff teach outside Los Angeles?

Yes. Jeff leads workshops internationally - Hollywood, London, Amsterdam, Rome - sharing not only technique but a working director's view of the industry. Ask about upcoming dates →

I'm a producer. Can Jeff cast or direct my project?

That's half of what he does. Casting for spots, series, animation, and international dubbing; voice direction in LA or remotely for sessions that have to land. Start a project conversation →

What equipment do I need to get started?

Less than you think. For coaching and early auditions, a decent USB microphone in a quiet, soft-furnished room is enough - don't over-invest in gear before you've invested in the craft. When your bookings justify it, upgrade deliberately. See Jeff's home-studio picks →

How do I know if voiceover is right for me?

One honest session tells you more than a year of wondering. Jeff will give you a straight assessment of where you're starting from and what the path would actually look like - he'd rather tell you the truth than sell you a package.

What results can I expect?

No coach can promise bookings - be wary of any who do. What Jeff's students have done: signed with agencies within months of starting, landed network contracts, and built full-time careers. What that took: consistent training and real work between sessions. Read their stories →
